“And speaking of operating”—Billy pointed a finger at him—“those were some smooth moves at that Twelfth Night gig. You said she was pretty. A tad understated, don’t you think?  Tall. Thin. Moves gracefully. Gorgeous.”

Chaz forced a laugh. “She’s business. Priming the pump as you call it.”

“I did a little background check on the lovely Miss Chalise Boudreau.”

“Stay out of my business.”

“Not so fast.” Billy’s feet moved to the floor, and he leaned over his desk. “What involves you, involves me. Moving here to start a company with you, I knew what I was getting. But she brings a new slant to things you never mentioned.”

“None of your business. And this is my business. I own fifty-five percent.”

“What if I want to prime her pump?”

“No,” Chaz snapped, resisting the urge to wipe the sly grin off Billy’s face. The last thing Billy needed to know was his history with Chalise.
