This is the official welcome to Linda Joyce Contemplates.

Mostly it’s about books. The physical book. The eBook. The story about the inspiration for a book. Sometimes, it’s a peek behind the curtain at an authors life or their writing process. Soon, I’ll be hosting a plethora of authors and bringing their books to you.

So many new things happening and I don’t want either of us to miss a thing! After all, it’s spring and things are blooming everywhere, including in my writing world.

Books

The long-awaited book, Bayou Beckons, Book three of the Fleur de Lis series, will have an official cover reveal in May. Pre-ordering will also be in May. The official release date is June 3rd. I’m so excited for you to meet Camilla and Jared. Their story begins in Jackson, Wyoming and their journey takes them to Bayou Petite, Mississippi the day before Hurricane Katrina strikes the Gulf coast and destroys life for many. Will they weather their personal storm? Will they survive the hurricane? Stay tuned to find out.

Write these dates down. May 18-24. Then go to InD’tale Magazine and vote for Bayou Bound. It’s a 2015 RONE Award Nominee. Help me move to the finals by voting. I’d so appreciate your help. Sign up is FREE and the magazine doesn’t cost a thing!

Soon, I’ll have more news about the first book in my new series, The Sunflower series, set near Kansas City, the home of barbeque, corn, and their own brand of jazz and blues. Her Heart’s Desire will introduce you to Amelia and Lucas. The series is a trilogy.

Events

Will you join me in June in Huntsville, AL? The Heart of Dixie, a chapter of Romance Writers of America, hosts their annual Romance Reader’s Luncheon on June 13th. The guest speaker is the fabulous Sylvia Day! More information and registration is HERE.

Later in June, I’ll be attending the Southeastern Writers Association 40th Annual Workshop. This is a great place to feed your need for writer knowledge. Invest in yourself, and join us on St. Simons Island, Georgia

I enjoy public speaking. Strange, I know, from an introvert; however, when I’m passionate about a topic, I want to share it with others.

My presentations for a workshop was accepted by the Georgia Romance Writers Moonlight and Magnolia conference October 1-4. It’s got everything, great guest speakers, informative workshops, and a much anticipated awards ceremony. I hope to see you there.

I’m honored be accepted as a guest speaker for the Gulf Coast Writers Association in October 24th. I look forward to meeting all the members and learning about their writing journeys, too.
